Here’s another idea: come to the Community Fair on Monument Circle from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Donate a polo shirt to help an IPS child comply with the school uniform rules, even if their family can’t afford the clothes.
Truer words have never been spoken. I remember reading this in the IBJ when it was first published in 2002. I cut it out and taped it to my wall. I still have it…
Actually they didn’t fail…9/11 accomplished more than Osama could ever have dreamed of with the initiation of ‘Global War on Terrorism’ that the Bush/ Cheny crime family over at the Military-Industrial-Complex was able to shove down our throats while at the same time stealing our civil liberties, trashing the Constitution, raping and pillaging our national treasury (and ruining the economy)for their personal gain, torturing and killing innocent people, and basically giving Osama bin Laden EVERYTHING he asked for! (plus, of course the fact that Cheney/Bush/Rumsfeld/ Rice knew about the attacks in advance and ALLOWED it to happpen since they knew it would help them perpetrate their evil crimes on an ignorant and complacent country of willing sheeple, most of whom never question the boat loads of lies told about the events of 9/11 after it happened!)
God Freakin’ Bless America, and may He/She have mercy on our souls for having allowed this to happen in our ‘democracy’…the inmates have taken over the asylum and they ain’t giving up control easily!!!
Bruce-
I was safe here in Indiana during that terrible day. I had a shoot in Seymour, shooting pictures in a high tech trucking facility for a software company. Once all the data of the tragedy settled, everyone became angry, then there was a sense of ” what the heck now”. For me, taking life for granted was top of mind.
Your post today is fabulous. Simple life experiences to embrace and not take for granted. Thank you.
They are beautiful image ideas as well.
